Egg-cellent fun family Easter activities - hop to it!

Easter is a great time to spend with your family, and there are plenty of fun activities you can do together. Whether you're looking for something to do indoors or outside, there are plenty of options for all ages.

Here are some fun family Easter activities to consider:

  1. Easter egg hunt - Nothing says Easter like an egg hunt! Hide eggs filled with those scrummy little Cadbury mini eggs, or for a non-chocolate approach, activities you can do together as a family. Hide them around your backyard or inside your home! You can make it more challenging for older kids by hiding the eggs in harder-to-find places.

  2. Easter crafts - Get creative and make some fun Easter-themed crafts with your kids. You can make paper mache eggs, decorate Easter cookies, or make a bunny ears headband. There are plenty of easy and affordable craft ideas online - especially Pinterest.

  3. Bake Easter treats - Easter is the perfect time to indulge in some sweet treats (and then some!) Bake some Easter-themed cookies or cupcakes with your kids, and decorate them with pastel icing and sprinkles.

  4. Have a family picnic - Pack a basket with sandwiches, fruit, and other snacks, and head to your local park for a family picnic. Enjoy the beautiful autumn weather and spend some quality time together.

  5. Watch an Easter movie - There are plenty of Easter-themed movies that the whole family can enjoy. The favourite in our household is 'Hop' and - of course - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the original, duh).

  6. Make Easter cards - Get out the coloured paper or card, glue, and scissors, and make some Easter cards for the kids to pass around friends and classmates. Go crazy with the stickers and glitter glue.

  7. Visit the animals - Head to the the zoo and visit the bunnies and chicks! If there's no zoo near you, perhaps there is a local farms or park that does. Learn more about your local agriculture and enjoy some time outdoors. You might even find pony rides!

No matter what you choose to do, spending time with your family is what's most important. Enjoy each other's company and have a happy Easter!
