A Decade of Christmas, Part 3: The Modern Era (2023–2025)
Quick Answer
Between 2023 and 2025, our Christmas range moved into fully photographed, styled seasonal collections. Then in 2025, we came full circle: The Classic Personalised Christmas Bauble — a plain-bamboo reissue of the very first design from 2015 — returned as part of "A Simple Season," our most pared-back collection yet.
This is the final part of our three-part series — the chapter where a decade of Christmas design comes back around to where it started.
2023: The First Fully Photographed Collection
Eighteen new designs launched in August 2023, and for the first time, the whole range was shot together as one properly styled seasonal collection rather than added piece by piece. It's the year the Christmas range started to feel less like a product list and more like a proper seasonal drop.
Alongside the Snow Globe and Gingerbread Baubles pictured above, the year also brought the Teddy Bear First Christmas Bauble, Snow Crystal Bauble, Northern Star Bauble, Furry Friends Bauble, Apple for the Teacher Bauble, Jolly Alphabet Bauble, and Frosted Forest Bauble — plus a refresh of our gift tag range with new North Pole, Deluxe Letter, Mirror, and Twinkle Twinkle designs, and a Te Reo Māori arch-shaped tag set.
2024: Statement Pieces
2024 brought twenty-one new designs, but the story here is less about volume and more about ambition — two genuine statement pieces launched this year, each a step up in scale from anything before them.
The Personalised Christmas Eve Box and Personalised Christmas Tree Topper were both priced well above anything else in the range at the time — a sign of real confidence in the collection's ability to carry bigger, more considered pieces. The rest of the year filled out with the Monogram Bauble, Christmas Stocking Bauble, Winter Star Bauble, Diamond Ring Bauble, Santa Tracker Bauble, Santa's Magic Key, and a second First Home design in globe form.
2025: A Simple Season
Then came the biggest shift in the collection's history. Twenty-four designs launched under the banner "A Simple Season" — and rather than adding more complexity, the range went the other way. Nearly everything was reissued in plain, natural bamboo at a single simplified price point of $9.90.
The OG Bauble Comes Full Circle
The centrepiece of that shift is The Classic Personalised Christmas Bauble — our own description says it plainly: "the one that started it all... our very first Christmas bauble, now back in plain bamboo." Ten years after the original 2015 design launched the entire collection, it returned in its simplest form yet.
The Lace Christmas Bauble — one of our most-loved 2018 designs — returned alongside it, also reimagined in natural bamboo. A handful of new pieces joined them too, including a returning collaboration with Tinker Tailor and new Pet Memorial and Memorial Christmas Bauble designs, rounding out our remembrance range further still.
We've written more about the thinking behind this collection in A Simple Season: The Meaning Behind Our 2025 Christmas Collection, if you'd like the fuller story.
Ten Years On
From one bauble in 2015 to well over a hundred designs a decade later — and in 2025, back to where it began. That's the story of our Christmas collection: not a straight line of growth, but a range that's grown, branched out, and every so often, come home to the piece that started it.
